Samedbeili: "Musavat" activists detained in Makhachkala convoyed to Baku
Gyulyaga Aslanly, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani "Musavat" Party, and Arif Gadjily, the head of the organization staff, who were detained in Makhachkala, were released. This was reported by Arzu Samedbeili, the head of the Supreme Majlis of the "Musavat" Party. According to him, the activists "are being forcibly returned to Azerbaijan."
Earlier, Arzu Samedbeili has stated that Gyulyaga Aslanly and Arif Gajili, who on March 9 left Baku and planned to visit Crimea "to study the situation", were detained in Makhachkala on Monday morning.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been explained by Arzu Samedbeili, Arif Gadjily, Gyulyaga Aslanly, and Emil Salamoglu, a correspondent of the newspaper "Yeni Musavat", who was accompanying them, were dropped out of the train on the pretext that they "made a noise" and were brought to the police station. After the detainees were released, they were not allowed to continue their way. They were brought to the railway station, and then they were sent by train back to Azerbaijan under the control of the police.
The head of the Supreme Majlis of the "Musavat" Party treats the actions of Russian law enforcers as those "violating human rights and freedom of movement."
