In Sochi, investigators start checking oppositionist Roman Shikarev
Investigators have launched a check of Roman Shikarev, the leader of the Movement "Law and Order", under the charge of "violating one's privacy", Roman told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Sochi in February 2012 the mother of a five-year-old girl died. Two men – Evgeny Serdyukov and Georgy Rusiya – claimed their paternity rights on the girl. Initially, the court found that Georgy Rusiya was the child's father, and since June 20, 2012, the girl was with him. Then, the court reversed the decision, recognizing Evgeny Serdyukov to be her father, but the girl remained with Georgy Rusiya.
After Rusiya was detained on July 17, 2013, the girl was delivered by Lydia Rusiya, Georgy's mother, to the Investigating Department for Sochi of the Investigating Committee of the Russian federation (ICRF); then, she was transferred to the rehabilitation centre. Roman Shikarev, the leader of the Movement "Law and Order", as well as volunteers, actively participated in the search and return of the child to the family.
"As explained by the investigator, Nona Kardava, the head of the Department of Family and Child of the Sochi Administration, wrote an application on my alleged infringement of the privacy of a minor child," told Shikarev. Nona Kardava herself denies that she had written the application.
