Military experts differ in assessing evidence of presence of military equipment from Southern Russia in Crimea
The experts and political scientists interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" have differently assessed the photos published in social networks of the military equipment in the Crimea. The armoured "Tiger" automobiles are Russian, the military expert Alexander Goltz is confident. In his turn, Alexander Perendjiev, an expert of the Association of Military Political Analysts, believes that the photos with clearly visible license plates of the Russian MoD could be staged.
Let us remind you that on March 1 the Russia's Federation Council passed a resolution allowing making use of Russian Armed Forces in the Crimea. There, men in camouflage took control over a number of strategic objects. On March 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that they were "local self-defence forces."
On March 1, the Ukrainian photographer Grigory Zhigalov posted several photo proofs of the presence of Russian troops in the Crimea on the Facebook.
The black colour of the number plate indicates that the vehicle belongs to the Russia's MoD, said Alexander Goltz, a military expert and deputy editor-in-chief of the Internet edition "The Daily Journal".
Let us note here that on March 5, the Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu treated the photos of the military equipment with Russian license plates in the Crimea as a "provocation".
