Izberbash resident states power agents' pressure after she complained to SC
Zarema Magomedova, a resident of the Dagestani city of Izberbash, complains about the pressure put on her by local law enforcers who summon her for questioning to the police station without presenting any documents.
Zarema Magomedova believes that the police actions may be associated with the case of her husband Murad Alibekov, who in December 2013 was convicted by the Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan for the murder of the head of the office of the Pension Fund and an assault on a policeman.
"I have been repeatedly summoned to the police. During the trial the pressure stopped. Recently, we filed a complaint, together with the advocate, against the decision of the SC of Dagestan to the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation; after that, the local staff of the Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE) again started to exert pressure on me," Zarema Magomedova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The woman said that she had repeatedly appealed to the prosecutor's office of Izberbash asking to prosecute the policemen; however, she has received no reaction so far.
