Wounded employee of Dagestani MfE is in grave-stable condition
Investigators regard the official duties of Ibragim Tuchalov, an employee of the Dagestani Department of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), to be the main reason for the attempt on him, said a source from the local law enforcement bodies. According to the MfE, Tuchalov is now in Saint Petersburg; his condition is grave but stable.
As reported by a source from the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Tuchalov, the head of the Chief State Inspectorate for Small Vessels of the Dagestani MfE, was attacked by unidentified gunmen on March 20.
"Investigators consider several versions of the attack – personal enmity and threats posed by members of illegal armed formations (IAF), but the main version has to do with his official duties," a source from Dagestani law enforcers told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to the press service of the Chief Department of the MfE for Dagestan, the victim was transported for treatment to Saint Petersburg; Tuchalov's health status is assessed as grave but stable.
