Ingushetia: Chechen resident sentenced to 12 years in prison for attempt on "Rosselkhoznadzor" head
The court in Ingushetia has found Yunadi Shakhtamirov, a Chechen resident, guilty of an attempted murder of Ruslan Dakhkilgov, the head of the "Rosselkhoznadzor" (Russian Federal Agriculture Supervising Agency) for Ingushetia, and murder of his driver, says the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above attempt was committed on February 25, 2013, when Dakhkilgov's son and driver were wounded in the shooting. Later, the driver Akhmed Akaev and one of the suspected attackers – Islam Shakhtamirov – died in hospital.
According to the ICRF, Yunadi Shakhtamirov was found guilty of a murder and attempted murder committed under mercenary motives.
The court sentenced Yunadi Shahtamirov to 12 years in a high security colony, says the website of the ICRF.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Yunadi Shakhtamirov and his accomplice were paid a million roubles for the murder, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Let us remind you that the two assailants on Dakhkilgov were wounded and detained after Osman Murgustov, Dakhkilgov's son, who received gunshot wounds, took the driver's place and rushed in pursuit of the attackers. When he caught up, he rammed their car. By decision of the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov, Osman Murgustov was presented to the Order of Courage.
