Workers of Volgograd "Khimprom" complained to GPO on factory management
The Trade Union of the Volgograd "Khimprom" Factory has appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Russia asking to examine the activities of the shareholders and managers of the factory starting from 2007, said Nina Kulygina, the chair of the "Roskhimprofsoyuz" Association.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in November 2012 the "Khimprom" Factory, a member of the State Corporation "Rostekh", where about 5000 workers are employed was recognized bankrupt. The factory employees appealed to the President of Russia asking to prevent mass layoffs, but the "Rostekh" made a final decision to close the "Khimprom".
Since 2007, the factory changed more than 10 crisis managers, who made still more harm to the factory, said Nina Kulygina.
Trade union activists ask the GPO "to check the financial and economic activities of the "Khimprom" for the period from 2007 and, in case of detecting violations, take appropriate measures of prosecutorial response," says the website of the central trade union newspaper "Solidarity".
