Dagestan: health status of relatives of head of Kharachi remains stable, doctors say
The medics of the Untsukul district hospital in Dagestan report that the health condition of the beaten wife and pregnant daughter of Khadizhalal Ziyavudinov remains stable. Policemen suspect that they were attacked by three militants' aides, a source from the Untsukul ROVD (District Interior Division) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on April 3, in the Dagestani Untsukul District masked men beat up the wife and pregnant daughter of Khadizhalal Ziyavudinov, the village head of Kharachi.
The beating of the wife and daughter are an act of revenge committed by militants' supporters, one of the villagers is sure.
Let us remind you that the former head of the village Gadjimurad Saladinov was detained, together with the local Imam and a few other locals, in November 2013, after an armed incident at the mosque. According to a resident of the district, they resisted the police who tried to detain a local resident, who was on the wanted list. Saladinov and six other detainees were sentenced to various terms.
The current head of the village Khadizhalal Ziyavudinov earlier held various positions in the village administration, said a source from Kharachi.
