In Taganrog, administrative detainee died from injuries

In Taganrog, an administrative detainee has died from injuries. Prior to his death, he was kept at the police station in a cell with two other detainees. He told the policemen that the other detainees beat him. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the Rostov Region.

The victim was detained by the police on April 14. When law enforcers brought the detainee to the police station, he was placed in a cell for administrative detainees.

According to the MIA, apart from the victim, the cell contained two other detainees. After a while, the man told the policemen that those other detainees beat him and he had to ask for help.

An ambulance arrived to the police station, and the man was hospitalized with a diagnosis of "brain contusion". He has died during the surgery. This was reported on April 15 by the website of the MIA for the Rostov Region.

The MIA has organized the official investigation for legal assessment of the actions of the policemen on duty then.
