Mayoralty of Maikop refused to sanction anticorruption rally
The Maikop Mayoralty has twice refused to sanction the rally "Stop corruption in Adygea!" applied for by the Public Movement "For the Future of Adygea", Rashid Mugu, a board member of the Movement, said today.
According to his story, the rally was scheduled for April 18. The activist believes that the reasons for refusal are political.
"We planned to hold the rally, because the fight against corruption in Adygea has become a fight against those disliked by the authorities. There's no real fight against corruption. We already wrote about the facts of corruption in our appeal to the president of Russia. The Prosecutor's Office of Adygea responded that the facts presented in our appeal found no confirmation. However, we believe that these facts had not been checked properly," Rashid Mugu has concluded.
