In North Ossetia, relatives of detained Maiskoe residents were allowed to visit them

Relatives of Aliskhan Gurazhev and Mustafa Barkinkhoev, residents of the village of Maiskoe of the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia, who were detained on charges of possession and transportation of drugs, were allowed to visit the detainees in the Vladikavkaz SIZO (pre-trial prison). The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from a brother of one of the detainees.

Let us remind you that after the detention of Aliskhan Gurazhev and Mustafa Barkinkhoev, their relatives and fellow villagers twice blocked the federal highway "Kavkaz", demanding to release them. The detainees' relatives claimed that the criminal case against Aliskhan Gurazhev and Mustafa Barkinkhoev had been fabricated and that the advocates had not been allowed to visit the detainees.

According to the above brother, yesterday they managed to see their detained family members at the SIZO. "After we got the permission of the SIZO director, we were allowed to visit our family members. However, the advocates have failed to visit the detainees, since they cannot get approval from the investigator, who is hiding from the advocate for several days," the detainee's brother has said.

When describing the state of the detainees, the detainee's relative has reported that he saw no visible signs of use of pressure or physical force.
