MP Musa Islavov's murder in Dagestan has to do with militants, investigators believe

According to the investigators' priority version, militants are involved in the assassination of Musa Islavov, a Dagestani MP. This was reported by an official from the investigating bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 17, Musa Islavov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Budget, Finance and Taxation of the Dagestani Parliament, was shot dead in Khasavyurt.

"The priority version is the assassination of the MP by members of illegal armed formations (IAFs). Last spring, in Khasavyurt, militants already committed an attempt to kill him; and then, Musa Islavov was wounded in his leg. The criminal case into the incident is under investigation," the "Interfax" quotes the official from the Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for Dagestan.

Musa Islavov used to pay great attention to combat extremism and terrorism and "to prevent any manifestations of nationalism." This was stated by the message published on April 17 on the website of the Dagestani leader.
