Georgian President pardons 95 prisoners by the Easter

President of Georgia has signed a pardoning decree in the context of the Orthodox Easter.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the preparation of the Easter amnesty was launched by the Pardon Commission back in late March. They proposed to pardon about 100 convicts – including men, women and minors.

In total, Giorgi Margvelashvili pardoned 95 inmates; as reported on April 18 by the website of the President of Georgia, the text of the Presidential Decree was directed to the Ministry of Corrections and Probation.

All the pardoned persons will be released today, the "Georgia-Online" reports.
