Journalist Mirkadyrov deported from Turkey disappears in the process

Today, the Azeri journalist Rauf Mirkadyrov, deported from Turkey and placed to the flight Ankara-Baku, disappeared in the capital of Azerbaijan. Prior to leaving Ankara, Mirkadyrov managed to report that he was deported under the request of the authorities of Azerbaijan, and he could be arrested in Baku, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Let us remind you that on April 18, in Ankara, policemen detained Rauf Mirkadyrov, an observer of the Azerbaijani Russian-language newspaper "Zerkalo" (Mirror). On April 19, Mirkadyrov was sent by air from Ankara to Baku. However, the reporters who came to the airport to meet him failed to find Mirkadyrov among the passengers of the flight.

Elchin Shikhly, the editor-in-chief of the "Zerkalo", did not rule out that Mirkadyrov was detained at quitting the aircraft by law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan, who now conceal the information.

In his turn, Elsever Agaev, the press secretary of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara, told reporters that the Azerbaijani party has no relation to Mirkadyrov's deportation.
