In Yessentuki, policemen seize IED from ex-military man's car
In Yessentuki, policemen have detained ex-military man, in whose car they found an improvised explosive device (IED) with electric detonator. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement agencies of the Stavropol Territory. According to the preliminary information, the bomb power was about one kilogram of TNT (trotyl) equivalent.
In the Lada car, driven by the ex-military man, the policemen also found a battery and strike elements of nails and screws.
The detained man has appeared to be a former military man of the detached motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD). On Friday, he was transferred to the reserve. This was reported by the online edition "Bloknot-Stavropol" with reference to a source from the law enforcement agencies.
"According to the operational information, the detainee is an active recruiter for the underground," the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" quotes a source from the Stavropol law enforcement agencies as saying.
