In Rostov Region, four persons are killed in two road accidents involving armoured vehicles

In the Rostov Region that borders with Ukraine, two road accident involving armoured vehicles occurred. As a result, four persons were killed and one was injured. Meanwhile, the Russian Minister of Defence has announced the military manoeuvres in the areas bordering with Ukraine because of the situation in the south-east of the country.

In one road accident, a driver mechanic of an armoured vehicle accidentally ran into the team of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS), standing on the roadside. As a result, a local resident, who was standing next, died in the place from injuries, and a DPS inspector was hospitalized.

In another road accident that occurred in the highway Rostov-Moscow, a driver of an armoured vehicle drove into the wrong way and collided head-on with a passenger car. As result, two persons from the passenger car and the contract soldier, who was driving the armoured vehicle, died in the place. This was reported by the "Interfax" with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies and emergency services of the Rostov Region.

The second armoured vehicle that was involved in the road accident is run by the Samara military unit, and it was advancing in a convoy to the place of permanent deployment after the military manoeuvres held in the Kadamovsky military training range. Despite the requirements of the law, the convoy was not accompanied by a military traffic police, the "Rostov-n.ru" reports.
