In Dagestan, trial in case against Zarema Bagavutdinova is postponed because of advocate's illness
In Dagestan, the Buynaksk City Court has postponed from April 25 for indefinite period the court session on the case against Zarema Bagavutdinova, a member of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), who is accused of promoting terrorist activities. The court session was postponed because of the illness of the defendant's advocate. This was reported by the court.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Zarema Bagavutdinova is accused that, according to the testimonies of secret witnesses, in November 2011, she recruited Mamma Dalgatov, a native of Dagestan, to participate in the armed underground.
According to the defendant's advocate, at the court session held on March 20, a colleague of Zarema Bagavutdinova claimed that the defendant was subjected to pressure by law enforcers during her work.
The next court session is to be held after the May holidays. This was reported by a relative of Zarema Bagavutdinova.
