ICRF: bomb was found in the car of militants killed in Stavropol Territory
The members of an illegal grouping, who were liquidated in the Stepanov District of the Stavropol Territory, transported an improvised explosive device (IED) in the trunk of their car, said a source from the Investigating Department (ID) for the Territory of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). Also, automatic firearms were found in the car.
An armed clash occurred in a wooded area at about 4 a.m. According to a source from law enforcement bodies, two men were killed, and one managed to escape. The spokesman of the Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) said that the casualties were militants. It was also reported that one policeman was contused.
The above ID of the ICRF opened a criminal case under Article 317 of the (attempt on law enforcers' lives) and Part 1, Article 222 (trafficking in weapons), of the Russian Criminal Code.
