Kidnapped resident of Derbent Zakir Magomedkerimov is back at home, relatives report

Zakir Magomedkerimov, one of the two residents of Derbent, kidnapped on April 26, has been released; the whereabouts of Arif Mamaliev is still unknown, his relatives report.

Let us remind you that relatives reported that local residents Zakir Magomedkerimov and Arif Mamaliev were kidnapped in Derbent on April 26. The GOVD (City Interior Division) said no persons with such data had been detained.

"Zakir was released early in the morning. He was badly beaten; his clothes were torn. I don't know what they did to intimidate him, but Zakir not only wouldn't say where my husband can be kept, but refuses to tell what happened to him after kidnapping," said Nagiyat Mamalieva, Arif's wife.

According to her story, their relatives filed a written application to the local police and prosecutor's office.
