Prosecutor's Office: journalist Sadig Soltanov who perished in fire in Baku had been killed

In Baku, at the fire place in the settlement of Bulbul, Surakhani District, the body of Sadig Soltanov, the editor-in-chief of the Azerbaijani newspaper "Mizan Teresi", was found. The journalist may have been killed, said the City Prosecutor's Office.

The body of Soltanov, born in 1989, was found at night on April 26. During the investigation, suspicions arouse that Soltanov had been intentionally killed. In this context, a criminal case was opened under the article of "premeditated murder", the APA reports with reference to its source from the Baku City Prosecutor's Office.

The forensic branch of the Surakhani District sent Soltanov's blood assays to the lab for analyzing.

Experts should define whether the journalist died from poisoning with carbon monoxide in the fire or died before it, the "Vesti.Az" reports.
