In North Ossetia, residents go to Mayday rallies, demanding to increase pensions and decrease prices

The authorities should solve the problem of small pensions and reduce the prices of housing services. This was stated by participants of the May Day rallies in North Ossetia. They have also recalled about the restrictions on political freedoms in Russia and expressed their solidarity with workers of Ukraine. At the rally, members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) have voiced the need to transfer power to the people.

The rally of the "Communists of Russia" Party, which began prior to all other actions, was attended by no more than 50 persons, although, the rally notification had mentioned several times more. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to Nugzar Musulbes, First Secretary of the North Ossetian Regional Branch of the Party, the reason is that people "will not attend such action, until any questions do affect them personally," and the situation is indicative not only for North Ossetia.

The second question raised at the rally has been that against the background of "general euphoria over the hosting of the Olympic Games and Crimea's joining to Russia", "an attack on the minimal political freedoms that have been preserved " in Russia occurs.

The rally organized by the LDPR (Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia) was attended by about 40 persons. Organizers and participants of the rally spoke about the Crimea's joining to Russia, the problem of low pensions and the high prices of housing services.

The rallies organized by the political parties of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party and the CPRF gathered the largest number of participants. According to results of the rally, the participants have adopted a resolution stating that the Communists stand for return of power to the working people.
