Leyla Yunus: Azerbaijan expels reporter of French TV Channel

Elena Voloshina, a reporter of the Moscow bureau of the French "I-TeLe" TV Channel, has been expelled from Baku. This was reported by Leyla Yunus, Director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy (IPD), who stayed in contact with the journalist.

On Thursday, journalist Elena Voloshina, a citizen of France, has arrived in Azerbaijan to prepare the material about human rights defender Leyla Yunus, who have been detained and questioned by the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to Leyla Yunus, Elena Voloshina arrived in the aircraft that landed in Baku at 5:00 a.m. The reporter was stopped without any explanation, when she went to the passport control. And the reporter was sent to Russia with the aircraft that departed for Moscow at 10:00 a.m., the "Contact.az" reports with reference to the "Turan" Agency.
