The death toll includes four suspected members of the armed underground – two in the Stavropol Territory, one in Dagestan and Chechnya each, and one civilian from Dagestan.

Both casualties of the armed clash with policemen in the Stepnovsk District of the Stavropol Territory were identified as residents of Dagestan Nizam Asaliev and Gusein Magomedov. Relatives of both of them had stated that they disappeared on April 26.

On April 29, the Karabudakhkent District of Dagestan was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. In the outskirt of the village of Ullubiyaul, where houses were inspected within the CTO, a suspected militant was found hiding in a house basement. He tried to throw a grenade at the power agents, but could not throw it far enough; it exploded and killed him. The victim was preliminarily identified as Mukhtar Djamalov, born in 1978. According to law enforcers, he was a member of the so-called "Kadar" grouping.
