In KBR, FMS officials state that Syrian student should leave Russia

As stated by Anzor Aramisov, the head of the Department for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) of the Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS), the Syrian student Ponezh Nauras should leave Russia for some time; however, it is not a deportation case.

On April 21, Ponezh Nauras addressed for help in extending his residence permit in the Russian Federation to the Ombudsperson under the head of the KBR and rights defenders. Student argues that he is "is under threat of deportation from Russia."

The Kabardino-Balkarian State University, where Ponezh Nauras is a student, has already begun to draw up his invitation with the aim to open a student visa, Anzor Aramisov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, adding that the student should leave Russia, at least for a week, and then immediately come back.

"Nobody threatens him, but he has to travel outside Russia – such is the demand of the law," said Aramisov.

In his turn, Ponezh Nauras claims he has no money for going abroad.
