Dismissed Yerevan metro workers try to defend their rights in court (+video)

The trial of the case of dismissed operators of the Yerevan metro began on May 6 in the court of general jurisdiction of the administrative districts of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeitun. The workers are sure that they had been sacked because of their active participation in the struggle against the accumulative pension system; however, the respondent's officials refute this version.

At the May 6 court session, the public defender Kristina Gevorgyan demanded to nullify the dismissal order of her clients, reinstate them at work and compensate the material damage for the expired months, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The activists of the initiative DEM.AM protesting against the pension reform came to the open court session to support the dismissed workers.
