In Nizhnevartovsk, fighters of the Special Rapid Response Unit (known as SOBR) have liberated five hostages captured by a man who opened fire on policemen. The assailant has been detained.

On May 7, in Nizhnevartovsk Street, policemen stopped two suspicious persons to check their documents. One of them pulled out a pistol, fired several shots at the law enforcers and wounded them in chest and leg. The second man has escaped.
