In Volgograd, policemen detain two mothers of large families during picket
Today, in Volgograd, Nadezhda Kireeva, a resident of Volgograd and a mother of many children, has been detained by policemen in Alley of Heroes. She told about that to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. Nadezhda Kireeva has noted that Olga Stepanova, another mother of many children, was detained together with her.
According to Nadezhda Kireeva, she was detained during a solo picket.
"I had two posters reading: 'Volgograd Region faces genocide of large families' and 'Russia's policy is aimed at destruction of motherhood and childhood'. I was grasped by policemen and brought to the police station located in the house No. 11 in Sovietskaya Street. One of the policemen said that my protest action was paid for. Olga Stepanova, another mother of many children, stood not far from me and shot a video of what was happening. She was also detained. At the police station, we were told that we were detained for identification," Nadezhda Kireeva has said.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in February 2014, Nadezhda Kireeva and Olga Stepanova took part in the hunger strike organized by parents of many children and parents of children with disabilities, which was held in the building of the former Communist Party Regional Committee.
