Yerevan commemorates May 2 casualties in Odessa

An action in Yerevan to commemorate those killed in Odessa during the opposition of pro-Russian activists and supporters of the Ukrainian authorities gathered about 20 people.

The event was held on May 10 near the Ukrainian Embassy in Armenia. Its participants came with posters calling to stop fascism; they lit candles and laid carnations and lilacs to the entrance of the Embassy.

Arman Boshyan, the initiator of the action, recalled that the Armenian Sergey Nigoyan perished during the confrontation on the Maydan in Kiev; and he is remembered. However, the death of another Armenian Ruben Avanesyan in the Donetsk Region remained unnoticed. "Was it because he represented the other party?" the "News-Armenia" quotes Boshyan as asking.

Let us remind you that the Ukrainian citizen Ruben Avanesyan died on April 13 at the entrance to the city of Slavyansk, Donetsk Region.

According to the edition named "News of Donetsk", Ruben Avanesyan was heading to Slavyansk among a group of activists who tried to deliver humanitarian aid to the city. Avanesyan was killed and two others wounded, when they were caught by crossfire.
