Five "Primorye Guerrillas" appeal against court verdict

The Primorye Territorial Court of the Russian Federation has received appeal complaints from five members of the criminal grouping known as "Primorye Guerrillas" against their sentences passed in late April, Nina Bulanova, the press secretary of the court reported on May 13.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 28 the above Territorial Court sentenced three members of the "Kirov gang" to life imprisonment in a special security colony. Two other members of the grouping were sentenced to long terms in prison.

The grouping of "Primorye Guerrillas" had announced the fight against the arbitrariness of law enforcement bodies as their mission. Some members of the grouping were detained during a special operation in June 2010. They were accused of more than 30 crimes, including murders of militiamen.

The lawyer Nelly Rasskazova, an advocate of one of the "guerrillas" Alexei Nikitin, said that she had filed a complaint "with a demand to overturn the decision of the jury and the verdict of the court because of procedural violations."
