Conscript killed in Rostov Region
A young soldier Alexander Bochkarev, who was recruited from Bashkortostan in 2013, was killed in the city of Novocherkassk, Rostov Region. On May 12, it was reported by the Soldiers' Committee of Bashkortostan.
According to the Committee, the conscript was stabbed in his throat by a fellow serviceman. The medical personnel of the military unit failed to save the life of the 19-year-old Alexander Bochkarev.
The young man was fatally wounded during a fight, the RBC reports.
Immediately after recruiting, Bochkarev was sent to the intelligence unit, located in the Samara Region. Later, he was sent to Novocherkassk. His service term was to expire in about two months.
An investigation into the soldier's death is underway.
