KChR launches charity marathon "Hurry up to do good!"

On May 15, the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR) launched the traditional annual charity marathon "Hurry up to do good!" The campaign will last until November 1, and its main purpose is to raise funds for seriously ill children, orphans and children in difficult situations, and to support children's social institutions. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The marathon was organized by the KChR's regional branch of the Russian Children's Fund together with the STRC (State TV and Radio Company) "Karachay-Cherkessia" with the support of the National Assembly (Parliament) of the KChR. The ceremonial start of the charity campaign was given on May 15, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The charity marathon has been held annually for 20 years on the eve of the International Children's Day. This was noted at the opening ceremony of the charity campaign by Galina Emkuzheva, the head of the KChR's branch of the Russian Children's Fund. The activist has added that the KChR has registered more than 2800 children with disabilities and 1200 orphans.
