Russian MoD: four military echelons and 15 aircrafts leave training grounds near Ukrainian

Four railway echelons and 15 IL-76 aircrafts were involved in sending military units that completed manoeuvres on training grounds located near the border with Ukraine to the places of their permanent deployment. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Russian Federation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 21, the Russian MoD announced that the Russian troops completed their manoeuvres in the Rostov, Belgorod, and Bryansk Regions and began to leave the training grounds. According to the Russian MoD, by the morning of May 22, all military units were withdrawn from the training grounds.

Let us remind you that on April 24, the beginning of the manoeuvres of the Russian troops of the Southern and Western Military Districts in the Russian regions bordering with Ukraine was announced by Sergey Shoigu, Russian Minister of Defence. According to the Minister, the manoeuvres were organized in connection with the situation in the south-eastern region of the neighbouring state.

On May 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave order to the Russian Minister of Defence to return the troops that took part in the manoeuvres to the places of their permanent deployment.
