Maxim Zhukov: Dagestan faces cases of threats and attempts to bribe USE public observers

In Dagestan, serious violations have been committed during the Unified State Exam (USE). Meanwhile, parents have made attempts to threaten and bribe public observers. This was announced by Maxim Zhukov, Assistant Chief of the "Rosobrnadzor" (Russia's Federal Supervisory Agency for Education and Science), on June 1 at the meeting with the heads of the departments for education. Maxim Zhukov is a member of the commission of federal inspectors for holding the USE.

According to Shakhov, in some cities and districts of Dagestan, the USE is being held at a very low level of organization.

"Most heads of the USE points have failed to be in their offices. And, despite the huge preparatory work, we have noted incorrect behaviour towards inspectors and observers," the Minister has stated. He has added that local representatives, who have failed to perform their duties carefully, will be dismissed from their positions.

Maxim Zhukov, Assistant Chief of the "Rosobrnadzor", has reported on the gross violations that he had revealed during his visit to the points of examinations in Derbent. In particular, according to him, many children were withdrawn from examination rooms because of use of crib sheets and means of technical communication.
