Number of Chechen residents who got poisoned with water reaches 146

According to a source from the Gudermes District Administration, in total, 146 residents of the village of Ishkhoy-Yurt, including 33 children, were hospitalized with symptoms of poisoning with drinking water; their condition is assessed as moderate gravity. The source of water that has presumably caused the infection was taken under guard.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since June 2 Ishkhoy-Yurt villagers began turning for medical care. The spring water that villagers use for drinking was preliminarily defined as the cause of poisoning.

Water supply in the village is decentralized: there are two springs, which were sampled by the "Rosapotrebnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Consumer Supervision) for examination. Villagers now drink water brought in car tanks, says the website of the Chechen department of the Agency.

Let us remind you that information is spread among the Chechen population that cases of poisoning with drinking water are registered not only in Ishkhoy-Yurt, but in other localities. On June 3, a car was driving along the streets of Grozny, from which a warning was announced through the loudspeaker not to drink water right from the taps.
