Casualty of shootout in Dagestan identified as Ramazan Magomedov
According to a source from law enforcement bodies of Dagestan, the man killed during a special operation in the Kizlyar District of the republic, was preliminarily identified as Ramazan Magomedov, the leader of one of militant groupings.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on Wednesday three villages of the Kizlyar District were put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. A suspected militant was killed in the shootout; and a fighter of special troops was wounded.
According to power agents, the killed militant was the leader of the "Babayurt" gang, the "Chernovik" reports citing a source from the law enforcement bodies of the Kizlyar District.
Magomedov is a native of the Tsuntin District. Prior to heading the "Babayurt" grouping, he was a member of other gangs, writes, the ITAR-TASS reports, citing a source from law enforcers of the Kizlyar District.
