Network users criticize Abdulatipov's proposal to change Dagestani anthem
The initiative to change the anthem of Dagestan, voiced by Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov, has provoked wide discussion in the social networks. Many musicians, public activists, and local residents are indignant about the fact that Ramazan Abdulatipov called the current version of the anthem a "funeral march". This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Let us remind you that Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov has expressed his opinion on the need to develop a new version of the anthem of the Republic of Dagestan at the session of the People's Assembly of Dagestan, which was held in Makhachkala on May 29. "The anthem reminds me of the letters of complaint sent from provinces to the authorities," Ramazan Abdulatipov has stated at the session.
"How could he insult the anthem of the republic? It's just disrespectful to all the people. I think the leader of Dagestan should bring his apologies," Magomed Aliev, a university lecturer, has expressed his opinion to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"The definition of 'funeral march' is just a subjective opinion. However, is it correct in relation to the anthem adopted by the Parliament of Dagestan?" Miyasat Muslimova, a member of the Russian Union of Journalists, a member of the Union of Russian Writers, has written on her Facebook page.
