In Dagestan, appeal against arrest of volunteers of Charitable Foundation to be considered on June 20

On June 20, the court will consider the appeal filed against the decision of the Khasavyurt City Court on the administrative arrest of Sadiyat Arslanova and Aisha Abakarova, volunteers of the Charitable Foundation "Be Merciful". This was reported Mansur Sepikhanov, an advocate of the arrested volunteers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 7, Sadiyat Arslanova and Aisha Abakarova were brought to the police department in Khasavyurt from the bank building. On May 8, the Khasavyurt Court sentenced them to the administrative arrest for three days under Article 19.3 "Disobedience to lawful order of a police officer" of the Administrative Code. On May 16, the volunteers' advocates filed an appeal against the Court's decision to the higher court.

When asked about the meaning of the appeal, since the volunteers have already served their sentences, advocate Mansur Sepikhanov has explained: "If we manage to discharge the Court's decision, the young women will have pure biographies, without any records of administrative offenses. Moreover, the discharge of the Court's decision will allow punishing the persons, who sentenced the young women to the administrative arrest, to prevent them from sentencing people for no reasons. The discharge of the Court's decision will be included in a list of the Khasavyurt Judge's activities, and the judges may face reprimand when their judgments are discharged."
