In Yerevan, over 100 people hold action in support of "Million Mask March"

Today, in front of the courthouse in Yerevan, where the case of the "Million Mask March" is considered, an action in support of the defendants was held. More than a hundred people demanded "to release political prisoners," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

They chanted: "Free independent Armenia!", "Freedom to political prisoners!", "Armenia without political prisoners!"; they held photos of the arrested activists and posters reading: "For your and our freedom!", "Everyone's freedom starts with freedom of political prisoners!", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"The case of Shant Arutyunyan and other arrested activists is politically motivated. This is persecution by the authorities of the people fighting for freedom," said Nikol Pashinyan, an MP from the "Armenian National Congress", who came out to meet the protesters.

Today, during the trial, a man climbed one of the cars parked near the courthouse and opened fire on policemen, some of whom were wounded. The shooter was arrested.
