Arsen Avakov reports on arrival of tanks in Donetsk through Rostov section of Russian-Ukrainian

Military vehicles, including three tanks, have arrived in the Donetsk Region through the Rostov section of the Russian-Ukrainian border. This was reported on June 12 by Arsen Avakov, Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs.

"We have recorded the passage of convoys with armoured personnel carriers and armoured vehicles with cannons. Today, we have noticed three tanks. According to our information, they have passed through the border and this morning, they have reached the city of Snezhnoye," the "UNIAN" quotes Arsen Avakov as saying.

The military headquarters of the self-declared Donetsk People's Republic have confirmed they have got tanks. The fighters do not specify the source, from which they got the tanks. However, eyewitnesses saw the tanks in the cities of Snezhnoye and Torez. They believe they saw T-70 or T-72 tanks, the news agency reports.

At present, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has not yet commented on the information.

In a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called unacceptable the situation with the tanks crossing through the Rostov section of the Russian-Ukrainian border. This was reported by Svyatoslav Tsegolko, Petro Poroshenko's Press Secretary.
