Participants of Stavropol assembly dispersed after power agents' promise to investigate Zamir Taibov's murder

Power agents have promised the audience to investigate the murder of a local named Zamir Taibov within a month. This was reported by a participant of the protest action held in the village of Tukui-Mekteb, Neftekumsk District of the Stavropol Territory.

On Monday morning a spontaneous rally of residents of several dwelling settlements began in the above village, triggered by the murder of a local Zamir Taibov.

The source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the rally was at least one thousand strong. According to his story, the event was attended by officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), Muftiate and Administration of the Stavropol Territory.

"People told that local Muslims are often searched; firearms are planted on them; people are kidnapped and then found dead, like it was with Zamir Taibov. We demanded a fair investigation into all such facts," said the source.

An agreement was reached with the officials, said another participant of the protest rally.

According to his story, the authorities asked people "not to rock the situation in the Stavropol Territory."
