MCC extends arrest of Orkhan Zeinalov accused of murdering Biryulyovo resident
The Moscow City Court (MCC) has extended for six months the detention in custody of Orkhan Zeinalov, a citizen of Azerbaijan, who is accused of murdering Yegor Scherbakov, a resident of the Moscow District of Western Biryulyovo. This was reported by the Court.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in October 2013, the murder of 25-year-old Yegor Scherbakov caused protests that grew into riots. The criminal charge was brought against Orkhan Zeinalov, a native of Azerbaijan. On November 1, 2013, the advocate of Orkhan Zeinalov reported that his client had pleaded guilty in part. On May 6, 2014, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) completed the criminal investigation.
The Court has not yet scheduled to date for consideration on the merits. This was reported by the "ITAR-TASS" with reference to a source from the MCC.
