Chechen Prosecutor's Office claims violations in investigation into disappearance of young woman in hijab
The Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya once again requires that the investigating authorities should eliminate violations in the investigation into the criminal case on the disappearances of local resident Aina Khabibulaeva. Officials from the investigating authorities refuse to comment and refer to the investigation secrecy. Friends of the disappeared young woman do not rule out that her disappearance may involve law enforcers.
It was reported that the family members of the disappeared young woman are still not aware of her fate. They repeatedly appealed to the Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya and filed complaints against investigators. In this May, after one more inspection, the Prosecutor's Office claimed that the investigators had failed to question a number of witnesses in the case and to take measures that would contribute to reveal the whereabouts of the young woman.
According to an official from the Prosecutor's Office, several days ago, Khasbula Khabibulaev, the father of the disappeared young woman, has again appealed to the prosecutors.
It should be noted that the information about the disappearance of Aina Khabibulaeva is contradictory. According to one source, the young woman was seen last time near the bus station in the territory of the shopping centre "Berkat". According to the other source, Aina Khabibulaeva was kidnapped at the exit from the university zone and forcibly taken away by armed men.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported on other incidents involving young women in hijabs. So, on November 8, 2012, in Grozny, a young woman in Muslim clothes was kidnapped. Later, she was allowed to go home.
