US court forbids prosecutors to accuse Johar Tsarnaev of treason

In the US city of Boston, the court has forbidden the prosecutors to accuse of treason Johar Tsarnaev, a Chechen native, suspect by the US authorities of organizing the bombing at the Boston Marathon in April 2013.

The judgment states that the prosecutors should not focus on the fact that Johar Tsarnaev was not born in the USA, that he immigrated with his family members to the country in 2003 and that he became an American citizen, the "ITAR-TASS" reports.

In turn, the public prosecutor has stated that obtaining of US citizenship by Johar Tsarnaev is an aggravating circumstance. According to the public prosecutor, Johar Tsarnaev was granted "asylum in the United States, he was granted citizenship," but then "he betrayed his country." This was reported by the newspaper "Arguments and Facts" with reference to the American media.

At present, Johar Tsarnaev is the only survived prime suspect in the case on the terror act in Boston. His brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed during the detention.
