In KBR, Prosecutor's Office approves indictment against organizer of anti-Olympic action accused of possessing ammunition
The Prosecutor's Office of Nalchik has approved the indictment against Andzor Akhokhov, an organizer of the action against the Olympic Games, on charges of possession of ammunition. This was reported by Madina Kipova, an Andzor Akhokhov's advocate. She believes the case will be brought to the court in the nearest future.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 7, in Nalchik, the police prevented a protest action against the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. In total, 29 persons were detained. Of them, six persons, including Andzor Akhokhov, were sentenced to administrative arrests.
Andzor Akhokhov denies the charges against him of possession of ammunition. "I had no ammunition in my house. I used to buy rounds in hunting shops," the organizer of the anti-Olympic action has stressed. And he has continued: "My house was twice searched. After I had been released, I underwent several checks of my business: they were looking for what they can punish me".
"The charges of possession of live rounds represent the response to the fact that I made public the circumstance that I was tortured after the detention," Andzor Akhokhov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Let us remind you that the Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the KBR carries out the investigation into the case instituted at the Andzor Akhokhov's complaint of torture committed by staff members of the Centre for Combating Extremism of the MIA at night on February 8.
