In Rostov Region, Sergey Bondarev reports on hospitalization of seven persons after shootout at border with Ukraine
In the Rostov Region, seven persons wounded in shootouts near the Russian-Ukrainian border have been brought to the hospitals. This was reported by Sergey Bondarev, Acting Governor of the Rostov Region. During the combat action near the border crossing checkpoint "Izvarino", Ukrainian border guards were to cross the border to Russia. This was reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.
On June 20, in the territory of Ukraine, an armed clash occurred near the border crossing checkpoint "Dolzhansky". As a result, the Russian territory was shelled. The border crossing checkpoint "Novoshakhtinsk" suffered from mortal mine explosions, and people around the checkpoint were evacuated. A Russian customs officer had been seriously injured.
At night of June 21, a group of armed men attacked the border crossing checkpoint "Donetsk" on the border with Ukraine. Several Ukrainian border guards were wounded. At Saturday night, one more armed clash occurred near the border crossing checkpoint "Uspenka" located in the Donetsk Region on the border with the Rostov Region.
After the attack on the Ukrainian border crossing checkpoint "Izvarino", more than 80 Ukrainian border guards crossed the border to Russia. Two persons were injured. This was reported by Vasily Malaev, Chief of the Border Service Department of the Russian FSB for the Rostov Region.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Southern region of Ukraine for observation of legislation in the military sphere has started criminal proceedings on the facts of mortar shelling of the border crossing checkpoints "Izvarino" (Lugansk Region) and "Donetsk" (Russian Federation).
