Two suspected militants killed in Chechnya
During a check of IDs on the road in the Urus-Martan District, two suspected militants opened fire on policemen out of their car. During an armed conflict, both attackers were killed.
The armed incident occurred at the entrance to the village of Gekhi of the Urus-Martan District. Policemen stopped a VAZ-2110 taxi with two men inside for document check.
According to the police, in answer to the demand to present documents one of the men opened fire at the policemen; and he was killed by return fire. The second man tried to escape, but he failed and then triggered an IED (improvised explosive device).
A policeman was hit by the explosion; he was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The casualties were identified as Magomed Magomadov and Maksu Usmanov, residents of the village of Alkhan-Yurt, Urus-Martan District. According to law enforcers, they were involved in the murder of policeman Magomed Dapaev committed on June 22 in Grozny.
