Protesters against rise of electricity tariffs detained in Yerevan

A clash of the police and activists happened today in Yerevan during a protest action against rise of tariffs on electricity. Several dozens of activists were detained, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The today's action held near the building of the Public Services Regulatory Commission was organized by the initiative group "Let's prevent increase of electricity rates!"

The protesters demanded explanations from the Commission bosses and invited passers-by to "join the protest, since the problem will touch everyone," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
