Around 30 Ukrainians evacuated from the checkpoint near Rostov-on-Don
The checkpoint "Gukovo" in the Rostov Region, which was hit by a shell from the territory of Ukraine, had to evacuate about 30 citizens of Ukraine, said Andrei Belyaev, the head of the Rostov Customs.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that three shells launched by Ukrainian militaries got into the territory of the Rostov Region; nobody was hurt. One of the shells hit the international automobile checkpoint (known as MAPP) "Gukovo"; the second one exploded near the village of Vasetskiy; and the third one – near the settlement named Shakhta-24.
"About 30 Ukrainian citizens moving to Russia were evacuated to the basement," said Belyaev.
According to his story, now the customs checkpoint is in operation; however, they took additional steps to ensure the safety of employees.
In parallel, sappers survey the buildings of the checkpoint in search of possible unexploded ordnance; while employees of the Investigating Committee are also involved, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
