KBR court sentences organizer of anti-Olympic action to six months of conditional imprisonment on charge of ammunition possession

The Nalchik City Court has sentenced Andzor Akhokhov, a resident of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), an organizer of the action against the 2014 Olympic Games, who was accused of illegal possession of ammunition, to six months of conditional sentence. Andzor Akhokhov has pleaded guilty, and the case against him has been considered in a special manner.

Advocate Madina Kipova, who represents the Andzor Akhokhov's interests, has reported that it was herself who recommended the defendant to choose a special manner for the consideration of the case. "It is very difficult to prove one's innocence in court, when not even a single, but forty rounds had been seized from your house. And to go to jail, even for a short time, when you are 45 years old is even worse," the advocate told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The most important thing is that Andzor is free. His attitude with which he was detained has not changed. However, it was the right decision at this stage," Madina Kipova has stated.

Andzor Akhokhov has added that he will not appeal against the Court's decision.

Let us remind you that on February 7, Andzor Akhokhov was detained in Nalchik at the action against the Sochi Olympic Games.
