ID of the ICRF for KBR suspects three DPS inspectors of beating driver

The Investigating Department (ID) of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) conducts the investigation into the criminal case instituted against three staff members of the GIBDD (road police) of the KBR. The policemen are suspected of beating a driver, who failed to obey their request to stop his car. This was reported by the Spokesperson of the ICRF's ID for the KBR.

The incident occurred in May 2014 at the highway Nartkala-Nalchik. Three inspectors of the battalion of the road-and patrol service (known as DPS) of the GIBDD attempted to stop a Ford car to check the driver's license. However, the driver did not obey their request. The DPS inspectors started to chase the Ford car.

The DPS inspectors caught the Ford car, forced the driver out of his car, threw him to the ground and beaten with the use of a butt stock of a submachine gun, the RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" reports.

On the above fact, the Urvan Inter-District Division of the above ID of the ICRF instituted a criminal case against the DPS inspectors under the article "abuse of power with use of violence." This was reported by the regional portal "e-kbr".
